There are really strange things happening in America today. Some people take notice and are concerned. Others pay no nevermind because, well, it doesn’t affect them.

According to an exclusive report from Foxnews.com, the FBI and the Justice Department (DOJ) have been targeting “traditional” Catholics for investigations into whether they could be potential “domestic terrorists. Thankfully, a group of state attorneys general found out, and are pushing back:

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and 19 GOP state attorneys general are demanding answers from the FBI and Justice Department and threatening legal action after a leaked internal FBI memo revealed that the agency had efforts underway to identify and treat Catholics as “potential terrorists.” 

Miyares and his colleagues, in a letter exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, told the FBI and DOJ to “desist from investigating and surveilling Americans who have done nothing more than exercise their natural and constitutional right to practice their religion in a manner of their choosing” and asked that they “reveal to the American public the extent to which they have engaged in such activities.”

“Anti-Catholic bigotry appears to be festering in the FBI, and the Bureau is treating Catholics as potential terrorists because of their beliefs,” the AGs wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Apparently, those specifically being targeted are the faithful that follow deeper Catholic traditions such as the Latin Rite Mass and other subversive things like praying the Rosary. Yeah- you really gotta watch THOSE PEOPLE. You never know when they might engage in a sudden outburst of Hail Marys!

The FBI’s solution is to send in undercover agents or recruit insiders to check in and report on these “dangerous” people.

“The FBI’s Richmond Division would like to protect Virginians from the threat of ‘white supremacy,’ which it believes has found a home within Catholics who prefer the Latin Mass,” Seraphin reported for Uncover DC. “An intelligence analyst within the Richmond Field Office of the FBI released in a new finished intelligence product dated January 23, 2023, on Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists (RMVE) and their interests in ‘Radical-Traditionalist Catholics’ or RTCs.”

He added that the document “assesses with ‘high confidence’ the FBI can mitigate the threat of Radical-Traditionalist Catholics by recruiting sources within the Catholic Church.”

Another source cited in the document allegedly produced by the FBI was a widely condemned piece from the Atlantic, titled “How Extremist Gun Culture Is Trying to Co-opt the Rosary,” warning that the rosary, a necklace of beads used in prayer, has become politically charged.

The article, which was previously headlined, “How the Rosary Became an Extremist Symbol,” slammed Catholic rosary beads for increasingly being associated with right-wing Christians, especially those who are gun owners.

Do you really think that, with all of the bad things happening all around in our country, that these traditional Catholic people are worth spending such time and energy? And how can it be legal? Of course, the real answer is that the zealous left wing liberals that control everything in our country know that this group of people are never going to buy into what their designs are in which EVERYONE accepts and celebrates what they promote: abortion on demand, embracing the “minor-attracted persons” as normal, the LGBTQ gay lifestyle, etc. etc. etc. SO to them, these people are, in fact, “dangerous.”

Thankfully, for now, it is being reported that the FBI has rescinded this memo, and are standing down in the face of the spotlight being shined on this affair. Of course, do we really trust them?
